The Financial Times has listed LCR 4.0 as one of its ‘Top 100 European digital champions. The business support programme – which is part-funded by ERDF – has supported nearly 200 local manufacturing SMEs since its launch in November 2016 and continues to engage with a range of businesses and their supply chains.
Helping manufactures better understand what new digital technologies can mean for their own business, the teams from the Virtual Engineering Centre (University of Liverpool) STFC Hartree Centre, Sensor City and Liverpool John Moores University, have been delivering bespoke support and solutions via their own specialist expertise and research.
LCR 4.0 was hailed ‘exemplar’ by last year’s Made Smarter report, demonstrating the value of such projects on the local business community and specifically, those in manufacturing.
LCR 4.0 is now calling for more sub-regional businesses to get in touch to find out how they can benefit from the programme before it ends in September next year.
